US Justice Dept. finds serious racial bias in Ferguson police practices

Months after unarmed black teen, Michael Brown, was fatally shot by a white police officer… the Ferguson, Missouri police department is in hot water again.

A law enforcement official says the U.S. Justice Department has concluded the Ferguson Police Department routinely engages in racially biased practices.

An investigation has allegedly discovered that African Americans make up 93 percent of arrests in Ferguson, while making up only 67 percent of the population.

And has found that African-Americans made up the majority of incidents in which officers used force.

These sobering findings are expected to be formally released as early as Wednesday… and will be used by the Justice Department to either negotiate with Ferguson officials and enter a consent decree, or, if negotiations fail, sue the city.
