It was a loss U.S. President Barack Obama said he lamented.

“As a husband and as a father, I cannot begin to imagine the anguish that the Weinstein and Lo Porto families are enduring today… I profoundly regret what happened.”

Upon hearing the news in Italy, Lo Porto’s family mourned in private at their home in Sicily. While in Rockville, Maryland, yellow ribbons signifying hope that Weinstein would one day return home to his wife Elaine, are at the heart of this makeshift memorial… as family and friends grieve quietly.
