The Haryana government transferred Khemka to a low profile post just four months after appointing him as the state transport commissioner. The government did not mention any reason for his transfer and just included his name in the list of nine IAS officers who were transferred. This would be his 46th transfer in 22 years of service as an IAS officer.

Various Political leaders reacted to this transfer. JD (U) leaders Ali Anwar and KC Tyagi, NCP leader Tariq Anwar and CPI leader Atul Anjan said that honest officers generally have to face such consequences.

The leaders also attacked the BJP government as it was always against Khemka’s transfer by the previous Congress government in Haryana.

Khemka was earlier cleared for Central Deputation, however it couldnot be materialized due to chargesheet against him.

Ashok Khemka had cancelled mutation of the land deal between Robert Vadra’s company and DLF. He also claimed that he was charge sheeted on the basis of the committee’s report which was constituted by the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government with prime objective to give a clean chit to Vadra’s licensing transaction.
