India and Germany support Each Other’s Bid for Permanent Seat in UN Security Council

Berlin: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel addressed a joint press conference in Berlin after their working lunch at the Federal Chancellery. Talking to mediapersons, Modi said that with an open mind he and Merkel discussed India-Germany ties. He said that India’s Lion and Germany’s Eagle would make good partners.

Modi said that he will establish mechanism for German companies to facilitate their investment and business in India. Regarding renewable energy and energy efficiency he said that Germany is helping India. Talking about terrorism he said that it is rampant and both India and Germany together can fight against terrorism.

He said that both India and Germany should be permanent members in the UN Security Council and the world will gain a lot by this.
