New Delhi/ Kathmandu: Fresh batch of survivors evacuated from earthquake-hit Nepal arrived in New Delhi in an Air India plane on Sunday.

Following the earthquake in Nepal, Air India has been operating additional flights to bring back stranded Indians and people of other nationalities as well. The 7.9 magnitude quake struck Nepal at midday on Saturday at a busy time of year for the tourism-reliant country.

India has launched massive rescue operation with Indian Air Force plane carrying relief to Nepal. A rescued Indian from Nepal said on Sunday that he saw the destruction very closely. Meanwhile, India also successfully brought back the under-14 girls football team.

The players were safe as they arrived at the Delhi airport and said that the administration ensured that the team was safe during the earthquake.
