A new Rs 29-crore road being built for Badals’ star resort

Chandigarh, May 19 (ANI): The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has begun construction of 100 feet wide, 1.3 km road in full swing leading to the Badal’s luxury resort. Metro Eco Green Resorts at Palanpur village is partly owned by Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and her husband, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. As per a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) of Department of Housing and Urban Development, the road, estimated at Rs 29 crore, will lead to their star resort. Congress leader Sukhpal S Khera alleged that all the roads in Mullanpur (Known as new Chandigarh) are not being built as per the master plan. These roads have been constructed to benefit the Badal’s family by misusing the government authority. He added that there must be enquiry against Badal government for misusing the fund and authority.
