Andhra likely to get relief from heat wave in coming days, says weather department

Visakhapatnam/ Midnapore, May 31 (ANI): The state of Andhra Pradesh – the worst affected by heat wave – is likely to get some relief from the intense weather condition in a couple of days, meteorological department has said. Officials say 1,786 people have died in northern and southern India over the past week, with temperatures over 46 degrees Celsius (114 Fahrenheit) baking southern states such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as capital New Delhi. MeT department said that the temperature came down considerably in the last two days in Andhra Pradesh and a similar trend is expected in the coming days. Even as temperatures came down in southern India, one person died in West Bengal state due to heat stroke. Assistant post master of Tamluk Post, Asish Maity, 56, died due to heat stroke suddenly after entering into post office.
