Anushka Sharma has cancelled her scheduled Kolkata trip for Dil Dhadakne Do promotions, due to a sudden illness and is on bed rest for next couple of days.
In a statement, her PR team said “Anushka sharma has taken ill suddenly after completing her film promotions today and has been advised by the doctor to rest completely for a day or two as she is exhausted and is showing signs of effects of heat, so that she can resume the promotional activities soon. She regrets she will not be able to travel to Kolkata as planned due to this”
The Mehras, the dysfunctional Punjabi family in Zoya Akhtar directorial “Dil Dhadakne Doâ€, had planned an extensive multi-city tour to promote the film. However with Anushka falling ill, the film promotions would remain incomplete.
The film is scheduled to be released June 5, 2015. It features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar and tells the story of a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip
