Owner of Capital Couriers hacked to death at Delhi’s Connaught Place

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): A Courier company owner from Kerala running business at Shankar Market in Connaught Place was bludgeoned to death with a helmet by three men following a spat over money.

Biju Verghese (44) had been running Capital Couriers from a lane behind Shankar Market for 20 years. About 11.30pm on Tuesday, he received a shipment from south India and was unloading the consignment from a truck with help of two employees-John and Vijender.

Eyewitnesses said three men arrived on a motorcycle, parked the bike and, walking up to Biju, asked him to clear some ‘dues’, previously agreed upon. An argument commenced which later lead to the unfortunate incident.
