Five Maoist rebels arrested with weapons in Jharkhand

Giridih, May 25 (ANI): Five Maoist rebels were arrested along with weapons in Giridih district of Jharkhand.

Superintendent of police, Kuldeep Dwivedi said that the arrested persons were extorting money from the public under the disguise of different Maoist outfits. The police have recovered two pistols, bullets, an army outfit and many other dangerous equipment from the rebels.

The arrested rebels are wanted in many criminal cases, including the recent case of robbery at a petrol pump. The police initially arrested three persons; two more were arrested later following information provided by the ones under custody. The arrested rebels hail from Hazaribagh and Chatra districts of Jharkhand.
