Kokrajhar: Five Coaches of 55753 UP Guwahati Siphung express derailed today morning in Assam. The incident took place at around 5:15AM between Salakati and Basugaon in Assam’s Kokrajhar District. According to reports, at least two people including the driver have been injured. The accident took place when the train was about to cross a bridge.
The Driver of the train was badly injured and has been admitted to hospital, while passengers with minor injuries were treated with first aid. All the pas have been transported back to Guwahati by another train.
Several train the route were delayed as the tracks were blocked due to accident. The cause of accident could not be ascertained yet.
