Chennai: The ‘My stamp’ facility of Postal Department, launched about a year-and-a-half ago, has become a hit among residents in Chennai city. ‘My stamp’ allows one to buy postage stamps with their own photographs printed on them. Officials said that the ‘My stamp’ initiative was popular among residents, who were coming forward in large numbers to get personalized stamps. ‘My stamp’ even more popular among public and revive the habit of letter writing among people. Personalised stamps are created by printing a thumb nail photograph of one’s image, alongside a designated stamp print. Officials said that since its introduction, ‘My stamp’ has been a hit with people from all age groups and foreigners as well.
