Mortal remains of Indian doctor found dead in US brought to Mumbai

Mumbai, May 23 (ANI): Mortal remains of Indian ayurvedic doctor Bina Kanojia arrived in Mumbai city on Saturday morning, over a month after she was found hanging in a hotel room in the U.S. Kanojia, a divorcee, had left for Arkansas in the U.S. with her fiance Shailesh Vora, a neurologist, about six months ago. Family of the deceased in India has alleged foul play in Kanojia’s death. They have accused Vora of murdering her to claim her insurance money. Vora had reportedly told the family members that they had a fight three days before she was found hanging in a hotel room. Sister of the deceased, Sangeeta Kanojia, said the suicide note left behind by the deceased reflected the torture inflicted on her by Vora. The family expressed gratitude towards Indian embassy for helping them procure the autopsy report and demanded police action against Vora and sealing of his property.
