Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a big applause on Twitter for not letting Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh’s newly wed Daughter-in-Law to touch his feet. As is customary in several Hindu societies, men donot let women to touch their feet, as a mark of respect towards them.

Jaivardhan Singh, who is also an MLA from Raghogarh in MP, tied the knot with Sreejamya Shahi, the daughter of Shattrundam Shahi, a member of the Dumaria royals from Bihar on May 19, 2015 at a farmhouse in Delhi.

Jaivardhan is the youngest member of Madhya Pradesh’s 14th Vidhan Sabha.
