NGT extends deadline to comply with order of banning 10 year old diesel vehicles to May 25

New Delhi, May 18 (ANI): The NGT has extended its deadline of complying with the order on banning 10 year old diesel vehicles to 25th May.

Additional Solicitor General of India Pinky Anand said that an IIT report was presented showing that environmental pollution cannot be judged by the age of the vehicle.

She added that they have been given some more time to bring out other facts related to old vehicles. She added that the government’s order of putting ban on 15 year old diesel vehicles was admitted by them adding that other vehicles should be checked for quality.
