Haridwar, May 27 (ANI): One person was killed in firing and reportedly four others were injured after a clash broke out between the security guards of Haridwar-based Patanjali Food and Herbal Park and supporters of a local truck union on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Daljit Singh who was in transportation business. Reportedly, supporters of truck union wanted the management of Patanajali Food and Herbal Park to assign the job of transportation to local truck owners. However, the management engaged the outside transporters who offered their services at lower rates.
Police have suspected Yoga Guru Ramdev’s younger brother Ram Bharat’s involvement in the incident and Ram Bharat has been taken into custody for interrogation. Search operation in the area is underway to identify those who were involved in the incident and police is investigating the matter.
