Police nab a Maoist sympathizer in Jharkhand

Gumla, May 31 (ANI): Acting on a tip-off, police arrested a Maoist sympathiser in Jharkhand. According to police, the arrested man, Punu Singh, used to pass information about whereabouts of police and its operations to Maoist rebels. His son is also a Maoist rebel, and is in jail for executing several crimes. Singh was arrested from the woods near Dolengsera village in Gumla district with ammunition. The campaign against Maoist rebels has been heightened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government since it came to power last year.
