New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): Amid increasing demands for ‘one- rank-one-pension” for ex-servicemen, Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday met representatives of former military personnel and war widows at the Congress headquarters. Gandhi is reportedly taking up the issue of “one-rank-one-pension” at a time when there is unhappiness among ex-servicemen over non-implementation of the scheme. The demand for one-rank-one-pension scheme made by soldiers had been granted by the Congress led UPA government. According to reports, the Comptroller of Defence Accounts has estimated that the cost of one-rank-one-pension could be as high as Rs 9,300 crore.
