Bangalore: In a shocking development, the principal of SEA Industrial Training Centre, K.R. Puram, Bangalore, has been caught on camera caning the students on the flimsiest of the reasons. The video taken from a mobile phone shows the principal, Padma Raju brutally subjecting his students to corporal punishment inside a classroom.
According to a report in The Hindu, Students have stopped attending classes due to the unruly behaviour of the principal. Several students have left the college due to this behavior of the principal.
The report further states that the principal regularly thrashes the students citing reasons like not getting the textbook, coming to class a few minutes late, delay in submission of assignments and making minor mistakes in drawing.
This thrashing of students has been happening for past 13 years but Students never reported it to authorities fearing their career. The college is part of South East Asian Education Trust, which is is run by a local MLA.
