Will Kolkata host the 1st Test Match of Indo-Pak Bilateral Series 2015?

With talks about the India-Pakistan series gaining momentum with each passing day, reports are coming in about BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya wanting to host the series in India, with the first Test match in Kolkata. The Talks about India hosting Bilateral Matches with Pakistan have started after PCB Chief met BCCI President this month.

On 27 June 2014, Pakistan Cricket Board stated that an agreement to play 6 bilateral series has been signed with BCCI during the ICC annual conference in Melbourne.

The India–Pakistan cricket rivalry is one of the most intense sports rivalries in the world. An India-Pakistan cricket match has been estimated to attract up to one billion viewers, according to TV ratings firms and various other reports. The 2011 World Cup semifinal between the two teams attracted around 988 million television viewers.

Pakistan have not hosted international cricket since the 2009 attack on the visiting Sri Lankan team which forced them to play home matches in the UAE.
