Dimapur: Hundreds of youth from Nagaland got a chance to avail employment opportunities with more than 30 reputed companies based across India through a day-long job fair at Unity College in Dimapur.
The event was organized by the Placement cell of the college in collaboration with NIIT Dimapur center with an aim to provide exposure to the youth.
A number of renowned companies including Wipro, Infosys, Allen Solly and Genpact expressed interest to recruit the youth from the Northeast.
The candidates had the option of applying for different job profiles and had to undergo a screening process that tested their skills. A total of 79 candidates were shortlisted by the participating companies. Nagaland has a very high literacy rate and there is a large proportion of educated unemployed youth in the state.
