After Nestle row, detergent found in Mother Dairy milk samples, company denies charge

New Delhi, June 17 (ANI): After Nestle’s Maggi noodles, it is Mother Dairy that has found itself in soup, after Central Food Laboratory of India found presence of detergent and extraneous fat in its milk samples. The milk samples were collected by Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) from Agra in December last year and were sent to Meerut for analysis. The laboratory in Meerut declared both the samples as ‘substandard’ after conducting tests. Later, both the samples were further sent to the Central Food Laboratory in Kolkata after Mother Dairy disagreed with Meerut’s laboratory report. The report from Kolkata arrived on Monday evening (May 15) which claimed the presence of detergent in one of the samples and extraneous fat and detergent in the other. Meanwhile, the company has denied such charges and stated that ensuring the safety of the milk is of paramount importance for them.
