Agra-Lucknow expressway all set to become India’s first road runway for IAF combat jets

Lucknow, June 27 (ANI): Agra-Lucknow expressway in Uttar Pradesh is all set to become India’s first road runway for combat jets of the Indian Air Force (IAF). UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority CEO Navneet Sehgal said that this will be the lasrgest runway in the country which will be completed in the shortest time. He also confirmed that the strength of the runway is sufficient enough to work as a runway for the jet aircrafts. A delegation of officers from Air Force Station Bakshi Ka Talab in Lucknow had met Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to seal the deal on the issue. The IAF had also proposed to bear the cost of the project. Sehgal said that the land is purchased from a total of 30 thousand farmers and their dues were immediately paid to them.
