Bihar prepares several activities for a grand International Yoga Day

Patna: The first International Yoga day, scheduled to be held on June 21, 2015 would be celebrated with several activities in Bihar. The famous Bihar School of Yoga in Munger has announced a special yoga camp on that day. Chief Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati said that the School would teach various yoga positions on that day to masses.

BJP national President Amit Shah will be coming to Bihar to lead a mass yoga event. Meanwhile Bihar CM Nitish Kumar criticized Shah’s Yoga Programme in Bihar and asked him to practice Yoga at home before coming to Bihar. He also criticized the Centre for not including the reputed yoga centre at Munger to organize a function there to coincide with the International Yoga Day next week and said if the government was sincere about promoting yoga among the people then it should have promoted the Munger-based yoga centre too.

The First International Yoga Day is being observed on June 21st across the world. United Nations had passed a resolution in this regard on December 11, 2014. The Theme of International Yoga day is Yoga for Peace and Harmony.

Around 10 Lakh cadets of National Cadet Corps across the country would also participate in Yoga camps on June 21. Around 1800 Yoga instructors would facilitate these camps.
