BJP slams UP govt over assaults on journalists in state

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): BJP on Monday slammed Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh for a number of assault cases on journalists in the state. After Jagendra Singh’s death after attack by a UP minister’s henchmen, another journalist Haider was tied to a bike and dragged for 100 metres in state’s Pilibhit district. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy said that there is no government in UP and that a ‘jungle raj’ prevails there. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that the lack of response from Akhilesh Yadav government is resulting in assault of the journalists.
