Chandrababu Naidu meets PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi, June 10 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The meeting assumes significance in the backdrop of the recent cash-for-vote case which resulted in the arrest of Telugu Desam Party MLA A Revanth Reddy and the release of recordings where Naidu is sought to be seen as a conspirator. According to reports Naidu asked the Prime Minister to order a probe into the alleged phone-tapping operation undertaken by the Telangana Government. He has also requested Modi for proper implementation of Section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act relating to the role of the Governor in maintaining law and order in common capital Hyderabad. The cash-for-vote scam came to light on May 31 when Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana arrested A Revanth Reddy while offering Rs.50 lakh to Stephenson to make him vote for the TDP-BJP candidate in Telangana legislative council elections. Naidu also met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
