New Delhi, June 5 (ANI): Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar on Friday planted a sapling in New Delhi along with star cricketer Virat Kohli and double Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar. The environment ministry has invited eminent sportspersons to participate in a countrywide sapling plantation drive on the occasion of ‘World Environment Day’ on June 5. Javadekar said that a similar programme will also be held in Mumbai also where India cricketers Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane will be joined by Tendulkar along with state Education Minister Vinod Tahwade.
