Fungus found inside Nestle Cerelac’s packet in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, June 16 (ANI): In fresh trouble for Nestle India, weevils and fungus were found in a pack of Cerelac baby cereal in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Following this, the samples were sent to food safety authorities for testing, the result of which is expected in one week time. According to media reports, S Sriram, an IT professional, bought a packet of Nestle Cerelac from a medical shop in Selvapuram, Coimbatore for his one-year-old son. When his wife opened the packet, she found lot of live worms inside them, after which Sriram filed a complaint with the food safety department. The milk powder was then sent to the government food laboratory for testing.
