Sonitpur, June 28 (ANI): Incessant rains in Assam have resulted in floods in Sonitpur and Lakhimpur districts of the state, causing distress to the local residents. The river Brahmaputra and its tributaries have started to overflow following the rains leading to floods in Assam and neighbouring Arunachal Pradesh state. A local resident of Sonitpur said that the people were facing a lot of hardships. With monsoon getting stronger, many parts of the country are witnessing heavy rains.
