Chennai, June 07 (ANI): The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras on Sunday formally revoked ban on a Dalit students body Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle (APSC). IIT-Madras reinstated recognition of APSC whose de-recogition had triggered a controversy, and appointed a professor as its faculty advisor, bringing an end to the more than a week-long standoff. The ban was lifted following a meeting between the student group and the IIT Director. The authorities of IIT Madras also admitted that the students group did not violated any guidelines.
