Indian coast guard launches massive operation to trace missing aircraft

Chennai, June 09 (ANI): Indian coast guard launched a massive operation to trace a missing aircraft with three crew members onboard off southern Chennai coast, said a senior officer on Tuesday. Commander of Indian Coast Guard (east region), SP Sharma, said the crew consisted two pilots and one observer and all of them were highly experienced. The government has pressed eight ships and aircraft into the service to trace Dornier aircraft in the Indian waters. The aircraft was on a routine surveillance off the coast of Chennai on Monday (June 08) evening when it lost contact.
