Indians throng Kashmir to seek solace from summer heat

Pahalgam, June 23 (ANI): As temperature refuses to go down in many parts of India even in late June, the number of people visiting Jammu and Kashmir has increased. Tourists from large parts of India like Delhi and Punjab, where the temperature touched nearly 48 degrees Celsius recently, have been flocking to Kashmir valley. Pahalgam in Kashmir is considered one of the best tourist spots in India for its water streams from snow-covered mountains and greenery. A tourist visiting Pahalgam, Aman Banger described it as the most beautiful place in the world. Banger added that contrary to popular belief, Pahalgam is safer than Delhi. Apart from the cool temperature and visual treat of natural beauty that Kashmir provides, the tourists also enjoy horse riding, which is very famous in Pahalgam, and shopping Kashmiri art products, including shawls, carpets and wood carvings. Another tourist, Kumar Das described Kashmir as a blessing of nature, while recommending people to visit the valley. Kashmir, also known as the ‘Paradise on Earth’, is among the most important tourist destinations of India.
