PM Narendra Modi addresses 1st Yoga Day Celebrations at UN through Video Conferencing

New York, June 21 (ANI): Celebrations began at United Nations headquarters in New York for International Yoga Day with a message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday.

While addressing the people present at the event through a recorded message, PM Modi said that it is a proud moment that 177 countries accepted the India’s legacy as their own.

Modi said that nature of the world is to get together and that yoga is one medium to facilitate the same. He also maintained that yoga will be a facilitator to get the world rid of the tensions facing them. I also appealed people to accept yoga for a better life and to get introduced to their own selves.

PM Modi also asked people to pass on the legacy of yoga to generations to come.
