New Delhi, June 30 (ANI): Union Law Minister Sadananda Gowda on Tuesday said that he has been misquoted with regards to his statement on IPC Section 377 and added that he never mentioned the scrapping of the same. According to reports, Gowda had earlier indicated that India could move towards abolishing Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalises ‘unnatural sex’, paving way for the recognition of homosexual rights in the country.
