Islamabad, June 12 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the Pakistani nation was dismayed by the recent “irresponsible” and “imprudent” statements by Indian political leadership. Sharif, addressing Conference of Pakistani envoys to SAARC and ECO regions, warned India that Pakistan would protect its interests at all costs. However, he said, such provocations would not deter Pakistan from continuing to bring peace and stability to the region. Referring to the decades-old, unresolved Kashmir issue, Sharif said the long-festering issue could not be left hanging in mid air for much longer. Meanwhile, there has been widespread outrage across Pakistan over the statement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh where he not only accused Pakistan of spreading terrorism in India but also admitted that India had played a part in the break-up of Pakistan in 1971.
