Navy’s MV Coastal Pride vessel sinks, all crew members rescued

New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): The crew members on board Indian Navy’s vessel MV Coastal Pride were rescued by the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard after receiving an SOS (Save Our Ships) call on Wednesday morning. 14 crew members were rescued from the merchant vessel stranded near Valsad district in Gujarat. The PRO of Indian Navy Captain DK Sharma said that MV Coastal Pride asked for assistant, after which the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard immediately responded to the assistance calls. Indian Navy launched one SKG, while the Indian Coast Guard launched two Chetak helicopters and evacuated members through the aerial route. All 14 members were safely brought to Umargaon.
