New generation kids have gala time playing traditional games in Vadodara

Vadodara, June 8 (ANI): A non-governmental organisation (NGO) held an event in Gujarat to acquaint children with the traditional Indian games. Junior Chamber International (JCI), mainly working for issues related to children, has been organizing the annual event for the past few years. Predominantly played during the 90s, the games included kho-kho, spinning top, marbles, hopscotch and skipping among others. Organizer of the event and one of the members of JCI, Kunal Dalal, said the aim was to familiarize children of new generation, who remain glued to their mobile phones, laptops and whose lives are restricted to virtual activities, with the outdoor games played by the generation before them and which are more environment-friendly.
