Police recover seven sacks of detonators from rebel-hit Jharkhand

Dumka, June 17 (ANI): Police detained the driver of an SUV and recovered seven sacks of detonators in Maoist rebel-hit Jharkhand state. Acting on specific information, the SUV was intercepted at Jarmundi area under Dumka district of the state and detonators were recovered. According to police the SUV driver who tried to flee the spot is now under interrogation. The detonators were being illegally transported to Sarasdangal area of Dumka district. On June 13, police had also recovered a quintal of powder explosive from Gumla district on information provided by recently arrested Communist Party of India (Maoists) leader Prasad Lakra.
