Politicos react as NDA govt refuses to take Saurabh Kalia’s case to ICJ saying its not feasible

New Delhi, June 01 (ANI): Political leaders on Monday react as NDA government refused to move the International Court of Justice against the alleged torture of Kargil martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia which eventually led to his death. The government said that the Centre cannot seek international probe into the death of Kalia because moving the ICJ against Pakistan over this issue will not be ‘feasible’. Pakistani troops had allegedly sent Captain Saurabh Kalia’s body back to India with his eardrums pierced with hot rods, eyes punctured and removed, most of his teeth and bones broken, and limbs and genitals cut or chopped off. He was captured by Pakistani troops along with five other Indian soldiers on May 15, 1999. He was held in captivity and tortured gruesomely, but the brave soldier did not betray his motherland. Leaders today again raised their voice and demanded action against Pakistan over the issue while some supported the government’s decision.
