Minsk, June 04 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee called for closer cooperation between India and Belarus in the fields of science and technology. Speaking at his ceremonial welcome in Belarus, where he is on a two-day visit, Mukherjee said that several students from Belarus have benefited from training programmes conducted by Indian information technology institutes. Belarus is a beneficiary of India’s ITEC programme. Mukherjee said the two countries could benefit from each other in several fields. The President arrived in Belarus on Tuesday on a two-day visit to enhance bilateral relations, the first ever by an Indian head of state to visit this country.
