Shimla, June 01 (ANI): Promoting mountain cycling and cleaner environment in Himachal Pradesh, the hill town of Shimla organised a cycling rally.
Over 100 young cycling enthusiasts participated in 12 kilometers-long cycling event, organised by Shimla-based group Initiative for Cycle enthusiasts (ICE).
The organiser of the event, Amit stressed on the importance of making the youth aware of the advantages of cycling. The objective of the event was to promote cycling as means of transport in the region, along with preserving the environment of the hills.
A young participant said that she wanted to see a pollution-free Shimla. The rally comes in the backdrop of the World Environment Day that falls on June 5.
