Villagers at border left hapless as Pakistan continuously breaks ceasefire

Poonch, June 2 (ANI): Villagers residing along the Indian border in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir feared for their lives as Pakistani Rangers broke ceasefire yet again. Pakistani troops violated a 2003 ceasefire truce twice on Monday, local media reported. Villagers living at the Indian side of the Line of Control (LOC) have been left hapless with the firing that has been on and off, since last year. Helpless, they asked for peace to be restored in the region. On Sunday night, the Indian army killed four militants during a sixteen-hour gun battle in Jammu and Kashmir, foiling an attack on a military base after the men crossed the heavily militarised border from Pakistan.
