Abdul Kalam’s death irreparable loss to India, say ISRO scientists

Bengaluru/ Trivandrum, July 28 (ANI): ISRO chief AS Kiran Kumar termed former president A P J Abdul Kalam’s demise as a tremendous loss to the country. Former ISRO Chief G Madhvan Nair also shared the same thoughts. Dr Kalam, a renowned scientist, collapsed while delivering a lecture at Indian Institute of Management in Shillong. He was rushed to a hospital where he breathed his last. Known as India’s ‘Missile Man’, Kalam worked as a scientist and science administrator for four decades, mainly at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) before he became President. He was intimately involved in the country’s civilian space program and military missile development efforts.
