APJ Abdul Kalam demise: India condoles country’s ‘great loss’

New Delhi/ Pune/ Mumbai, July 28 (ANI): India condoled on the country’s ‘great loss’ a day after former President APJ Abdul Kalam died after he collapsed during a lecture at the IIM in Shillong on Monday evening. Kalam, who would have turned 84 in October, was confirmed dead more than two hours after he was wheeled into the ICU of Bethany hospital in a critical condition following the collapse at around 6.30 pm. Vice President Hamid Ansari, Former President Pratibha Patil among many others from the BJP government grieved on the loss and remembered the great former president of India. Meanwhile, the government has also announced seven days of mourning in the country over his demise.
