Ujjain, July 20 (ANI): Authorities in Madhya Pradesh pressed into service rescue teams to evacuate people stranded in Ujjain as the water level rose above danger mark due to incessant rainfall. Though heavy rainfall brought relief from hot and humid conditions, it also inundated many cities with floodwaters. In Ujjain, several temples alongside river Shipra have submerged due to heavy rainfall. Rain water entered many houses, shops and other buildings, throwing life completely out of gear. People were left stranded in their houses. Collector Kavindra Kiyawat said four teams have been pressed into action for carrying out rescue operations.
