Bassi briefs on new traffic enforcement drive, says will keep 50 % manpower active during nights

New Delhi, July 11 (ANI): While briefing about Delhi Police’s new traffic enforcement drive, Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that the department has decided to keep 50 percent of the manpower active during the nights. He said that although there is a lack of manpower, the department will cut in deployments during the day and will keep more vigil during the nights when more accidents occur due to reckless driving. Talking about the indiscipline that Delhi faces during the nights by drivers, Bassi said that a majority of accidents occur because of drivers who pose threat to life of other commuters.
