‘Boycotting NITI Aayog meet is against spirit of co-operative federalism’: Jaitley

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): Union Finance Minster Arun Jaitley on Wednesday said that all the Chief Ministers, who had boycotted the second meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog, should introspect that not attending it is against the spirit of co-operative federalism. According to reports, nine Congress chief ministers boycotted the NITI Aayog meet, including West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee, Odisha’s Naveen Patnaik and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa also skipped the meeting and was represented by former chief minister, O Paneerselvam.
