Gorakhpur resident owns collection of 85000 matchboxes

Gorakhpur, July 12 (ANI): A resident of Uttar Pradesh, Kishan Rastogi owns a collection of 85000 matchboxes from different parts of the world to be on the Limca Book of national records. Rastogi who has pen friends from many countries, got the idea to collect matchboxes when one of his friends sent him two matchboxes from London years back. He has been collecting matchboxes from across the world since 32 years. Rastogi added that his most memorable collection is the one that he bought in an auction from the collection of the late American matchbox collector Bob Johns which looks like a shoe. He added that his wife and two sons have been very supportive of his passion and never complained about him devoting so much time to it. Rastogi also boasts of a collection of varied kinds of matchsticks, ranging from the smallest of matchsticks that were made in Germany and Slovenia which measure just 2 centimetres to ones from South Africa which are as thick as an index finger and can burn for six minutes.
