India all set to launch five British satellites

Chennai, July 10 (ANI): India’s space agency is preparing to launch a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) that would carry five British satellites. The PSLV-C28 will be launched on Friday although the countdown started days before on Wednesday. It is being termed as India’s biggest commercial lift-off with five satellites of Britain’s Surrey Satellite Technology Limited and Surrey Space Centre. As per the ISRO, the five satellites together weigh more than 1400 kilograms. The PSLV itself weighs 320 tonnes and is 44.4 meters tall. The PSLV-C28 launch off will be the ninth flight of the PSLV in an ‘XL’ version.
