IPS Officer Amitabh Thakur says Mulayam Singh threatened him, files police complaint

Lucknow, July 11 (ANI): Senior IPS officer Amitabh Thakur on Saturday filed a police complaint against Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav alleging that the party chief has threatened him to “mend ways” or face a repeat of an incident in 2006. Thakur said that he was assaulted by a party MLA and his supporters back in 2006. Thakur and his social activist wife Nutan Thakur demanded for security and said that they feel insecure after these threats. Thakur, who has been assisting his wife and RTI activist in raising social issues, released an audio tape purportedly containing the voice of the SP chief.
